Job Description

A leading London university is looking for two Interim Internal and Change Communications Specialists to support them on some upcoming projects. The roles are 3 - 4 months long, starting in March and paying £300 - £350 p/d (inside IR35).It’s an exciting time to join the university as it launches its organisational strategy later in the year. These roles will play key parts in the communications and engagement activities for its employees and students. The successful candidate will workclosely with faculty, communications and HR colleagues along with colleagues from across the university to advise on and to develop and deliver products and content for dissemination to key audiences, in line with agreed objectives and milestones.Key Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with members of the Communications Team, HR and faculty and other colleagues to develop and deliver communications plans, content and collateral as part of the change programme and other designated projects, including:

  • Drafting informative and engaging messaging aligned to project priorities and milestones, adapting style and tone as needed and negotiating sign off with relevant stakeholders.
  • Helping to develop communications activity, with effective planning to meet programme/project deadlines and timelines.
  • Ensuring designated audiences remain fully updated and aware of key milestones and activities as part of the change programme.
  • Advising on appropriate communications and engagement approaches to achieve desired audience reach and interaction within in the change programme and other designated activities.
Represent the Internal Communications team at meetings where needed, helping ensure that project team and other colleagues are regularly appraised of key outputs and outcomes.Distil complex information into relatable written and digital content, readily accessible to target audiences, while being mindful of the sensitivities of organisational change.Handle confidential information and discussions with senior members of staff, and other stakeholders with discretion.Due to a high volume of applicants, we are unable to respond to everyone.
