Job Description

We are all resilient, innovative and adaptable team players.Job PurposeYou will be responsible for the delivery of a people focused strategic HR function for Store, Office and Distribution teams. You will support the Head of HR in developing and implementing a robust HR strategy aligned with operational strategic goals whilst delivering transactional support and generalist HR guidance and advice to your stakeholders.Role of DepartmentAs a HR team our mission is to provide expert guidance and services in an efficient and customer-focused manner. We aim to provide colleagues with a suite of tools and policies that are factual, fair and fit for purpose. We are committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce through effective attraction and selection, personal development and ongoing support and guidance.Main Responsibilities & Key Skills

  • Delivery of HR strategy ensuring the plan is robust and in line with operational strategy at all times
  • Partner stakeholders and Line Managers in the effective management of colleagues, including appraisals, absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Support Senior Leaders to continually develop and enhance team capability, focused on performance management and coaching skills
  • Effectively manage complex employee relations issues through enhancing capability and effective coaching and guidance
  • Complete end-to-end HR projects where required
  • Promote colleague wellbeing throughout the business, working in collaboration with external partners where appropriate
  • Deliver cultural change through effective engagement initiatives
  • Drive colleague engagement through key HR initiatives and activities
  • Analyse and review people data to report business risks and opportunities in a timely manner
  • Drive Learning & Development opportunities through effective collaboration with L&D BPs
  • Continually review, refresh and develop best-practice HR policies in line with current legislation
  • Drive talent and recruitment activities throughout Stakeholder areas
  • Review exit interview data periodically to identify trends and reduce future attrition
  • Coach and support HR Advisor to deliver a high performing function with an aligned and effective HR approach
  • GDPR compliant at all times, challenge poor practice, report breaches in line with legislation
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports as required
  • Key Performance Indicators (where applicable)
  • Absence management - support Line Managers with effective management of both sporadic and long term absence to sustain agreed absence percentages, drive proactive initiatives to managing absence
  • Attrition - manage exit interview process to establish reasons for leaving and support Line Managers to reduce attrition
  • Culture/Engagement - contribute to the culture of the business by being a driving force of our Values and Behaviours
