Job Description

This newly created Financial Controller will form a key part of the Finance team for a Trading Firm Paying £70,000 to £90,000 depending on experience and currently operating a 3 day a week in the office with a Discretionary bonus. Located right nextto Bond Street Tube Stop. RoleThis Financial Controller Role will help the Trading Firm scale the finance function, put new processes in place and refine existing ones. Key responsibilities included.

  • Lead and manage the financial reporting process, including the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard the companys assets and prevent fraud.
  • Manage the companys financial planning and budgeting process, including the development of detailed forecasts and performance analysis.
  • Provide financial guidance to the CEO, CFO, and other senior management members to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the companys tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of UK VAT tax returns.
  • Oversee the companys treasury functions, including cash flow management, investment activities, and debt financing.
  • Manage the financial team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
ProfileThe Financial Controller Role for this Trading firm is ideally looking for
  • Someone who is Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 3 years post qualification experience within a similar role.
  • Someone who has experience with FCA/NFA Regulatory Reporting experience.
  • Experience with working within Trading firm- not essential however is very strongly preferred.
