Job Description

This is a fantastic Finance Analyst, permanent position, with the opportunity to join a growing private education company based in the West End London. This role will report into the head of reporting covering both accounting and analysis supporting thewider finance function.Client DetailsMy client are a fast-growing, dynamic private education provider with private schools based all over the UK. They have recently acquired another business resulting in rapid growth and therefore are in need of a Finance Analyst to join their expanding financeteam.DescriptionAs the Finance Analyst your responsibilities include:

  • Assist with consolidating inter-departmental financial statements
  • Business partnering across departments providing financial data and insights
  • Analysing financial data to identify trends and KPIs
  • Performing variance analysis for budgeting and forecasting
  • Presenting and summarising variances and findings to finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Assisting in the development of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Collaborating with operational teams to create and update budgets and forecasts
  • Entering financial data into excel/software and assisting with preparing presentations
  • Developing strong understanding of analytical software and improving data processes
  • Maintain accurate and organised records and data basis for analysis and reporting
  • Tracking capital expenditure progress against budget/re-forecast
  • Monitoring and tracking operational and financial KPIs
  • Support the wider finance team with ad hoc analysis and reporting
ProfileThe successful Finance Analyst is:
  • Studying ACCA/ACA or AAT qualified and actively studying
  • Strong understanding of double entry book keeping
  • Previous reporting / analysis experience
  • Experience using accounting software (JDE is desirable)
  • Strong excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to present and partner across non-finance teams
Job Offer
