Job Description

Ardmore Group is seeking a Façade Manager at our prestigious sites at Battersea Power Station in SW8. Façade Manager we are looking for must have façade /building envelope experience in design & planning, SFS Installation, architectural metalwork, brickwork, structural metalwork, windows & curtain walling.The Ideal Facade Manager Will Have:

  • Experience as a facade manager on construction projects including pre-installation knowledge
  • Experience of working on a large residential & commercial project
  • Drive and a previous of track record of driving projects forward and working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to plan work in a strategic and methodological manner
  • Experience of checking quality of work & managing snagging works to completion and sign off by client
  • Strong commercial understanding and ability to know and track and project costs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • CSCS Card, SMSTS & First Aid
  • Experience managing external subcontractors
  • Fully understand the NHBC and building reg requirements and be able to implement / install in accordance with the regs, BS standards and manufacturers requirements.
  • Knowledge of many façade related productsmaterials such as schuco,) glass and aluminium cladding panels systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of curtain wall installation, waterproofing, fire stopping and K15 (Rainscreen Board
  • Proven track record of façade project deliveries on time and on budget (commercial awareness)
  • Proven record of Logistic skills and knowledge to allow smooth running of material coordination between suppler and sites
  • Experience of working from mast climbers.
    • Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Will be directly responsible for the day to day facade construction of the project
  • Managing and being the principal contact for the facade contractor commercially and operationally.
  • Producing a program of works and ensuring that it works in unison with brickwork and scaffolding/mast climbers or any systems chosen on a particular project
  • Communicate and project materials and consumables requirements.
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with the internal design team and any external team as and when required
  • Reporting progress to site Management and recording progress against a program deadline
  • Work with the logistics manager to ensure deliveries and lifts are carried out on time
  • Maintain high levels of health & safety throughout the project ensuring work is always carried out in a safe manner
  • Carry out the quality control, testing and inspection plans on all aspects of cladding and façade
  • Willing to be trained (or already trained) in varied access techniques (rope access, confined space, MEWP & BMU etc) to carry out thorough inspections in a variety of situations
  • Attending regular meetings on the site or off site with our team, the site team and the design team to ensure communication of all required façade related topics is clear and understood.
