Job Description

Behaviour Mentor This mainstream Primary School located in the Borough of Merton is looking for the perfect hard-working, resilient graduate to join their exceptional team! As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working alongside pupils with complex behavioural needs who requiresome additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom. This is a full time, long-term post, commencing September 2023 for the entire academic year.** This is an ideal position for a Psychology/Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor, Youth Mentor amongst others. **What will I gain from this Behaviour Mentor role

  • Working alongside like-minded individuals and receiving the best support and guidance from Specialist staff
Behaviour Mentor - Job role:
  • Supporting children with a range of SEN to keep them engaged in the classroom
  • Encourage the development of the students social skills
  • Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs
  • Support and comply with the schools safeguarding procedures
  • Full-time, long term position starting September 2023
  • Located in the Borough of Merton
Behaviour Mentor - Candidate Specification:
  • A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University
  • Genuine interest working with SEN
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt
  • Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN is desirable
  • Calm and compassionate nature
