Job Description

My client is looking for a temporary AP Clerk for a minimum of 3 months starting beginning of January.Client DetailsMy client is a community club that takes pride in its commitment to support the local area and work to improve peoples lives. They are looking for an AP Clerk to join their small accounts team.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the AP Clerk will be

  1. ensure Orders are placed according to procedure
  2. Match batch and code invoices
  3. confirming orders received as placed
  4. matching orders to invoices and obtaining approval from department heads
  5. input invoices and/or import invoices on to Sage Accounting system
  6. reconcile supplier statements
  7. prepare supplier payments including a few International/foreign payments and import Sage file To Bank
  8. investigate and resolve queries
  9. Maintaining supplier account details on sage eg bank details for bacs runs, emails for remittance advices, etc
ProfileThe successful AP Clerk candidate should have
  • Sage accounting system experience
  • Purchase ledger experience
  • Intermediate computer skills (Outlook Email, Word and Excel, V-Lookups, Pivot tables) required for the role
  • Organised, reliable and highly accurate with numbers
  • Must be a strong team player, have a good work ethic & remain professional at all times
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to commute to Wimbledon daily
