Job Description

Technical AuthorLocation: Fully remote working (access to office as needed)Employer: Multinational fire detection & alarm specialistSalary £35,000 - £45,000Extensive benefits:

Key Responsibilities
  • Updating existing documentation.
  • Updates, edits and proofreads written materials
  • Capturing and completing meeting minutes accurately
  • Works closely with subject matter experts to develop written documents to be submitted to the client
  • Creating clear and concise material, taking care of editing and proofreading tasks
  • Ensuring quality standards, and consistency are applied throughout the range of documentation being produced
  • Producing electronic documentation
    • O&M Manuals
    • Datasheets
    • Technical documents
    • ITPs
Core Competencies:
  • Proficient in Microsoft office specifically word and excel
  • Good IT literacy
  • A feel for words and a good command of grammar and vocabulary
  • The ability to express instructions clearly in simple language
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively gather information
  • An ability to grasp and structure large amounts of information and anticipate the readers knowledge gaps
  • An enquiring mind with attention to detail
  • Editorial judgement
  • Accuracy and a methodical approach to work
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Technical background in control equipment
Desirable requirements:
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing
  • Ability to read electrical circuits or data sheets
  • Experience working in Nuclear or Construction sites
