Aura is the core suite of applications used by the Assurance Line of Service in each PwC network firm. The GATT team for Aura hosting & support service (including application upgrades) to a large number of territories around the world. A global Aura engineeris responsible for the technical implementation of mission critical business applications for the Assurance practice encompassing a number of PwC networks firms within the Aura Global hosting service. Responsibilities including complex deployment projects,innovation, process improvements and incident resolution whilst offering business value with a focus on service quality and agility.Technical Analyst:This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the technical delivery process for a high profileand high priority Global IT service. The Aura Global Aura Technical engineer is a key member of the team and focused on the delivery of the Aura application and is expected to work to a high standard, Implementing changes in response to incidents / new businessrequirements (including new code releases from the development team). Have expertise and understanding of Microsoft products such as IIS, .NET Framework and MS Windows Applications and the ability to develop a subject matter expertise in the end-to-end Auraapplication suite, its technical components, the interactions between components, and the underlying platforms & server environments. Have an understanding of SQL server and are expected to develop subject matter expertise in this Aura component. Assist inbuild verification testing & QA Will contribute to the automation of windows tasks for application role out utilising windows scripting such as PowerShell, Asible and other technologies. Have experience and knowledge into windows server systems ability inroot cause analysis on production issues Interact with Application Support teams and Major Incident Management, related operational teams and the development team to diagnose and resolve incidents affecting the Aura users and / or system operation, escalatingincidents and work with relevant teams. Provide subject expertise in Incident Management (as required) Support the leadership team on the strategic direction of the Aura service / delivery programme and improvement plans that lay out what needs to be done- in terms of people, processes and technology, so as to improve the holistic service in which we provide and deliver and agreeing how these plans will be implemented Working to follow the SUN support model establishing 24 hours coverageSkills and Experience:Proven record in the technical implementation and operation of mission critical IT services. Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft products such as SQL server, IIS, .NET Framework and MS Windows Applications. An understanding of SQL server Strong abilityin SQL writing queries Background in windows server systems and demonstrable history of root cause analysis on production issues Able to acquire a comprehensive understanding of a complex suite of IT applications / components. Able to work collaborativelywith all members of the team in the delivery of the Aura Service.
