Job Description

Start Date: Immediate Pay: Trust Range 3 We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled andreliable teaching assistant to work as part of our TA team. The role willconsist of helping a pupil who needs additional support to become increasinglyindependent.Experience of supporting people become independent,although not necessarily in a TA role, is highly desirable. It is also crucialthat you can show you can build successful relationships with pupils,flexibility in response to a sensitivity to fluctuating needsand show anability to learn quickly. The successful applicant will have a good standard ofEnglish. Our teaching assistants are accountable to theclass teacher and SENCO, sharing the responsibility for raising standards andequipping the children with the skillsand dispositions to be successful inlife. Our fantastic pupils and positive, committed staffwill ensure that you are welcomed into our team of reflective professionals. Weare looking for someone who identifies with our ethos - this is not just ajob. This role is for 38 weeks a year, working from8.45am to 3.15pm five days a week and will be temporary for the school year inthe first instance,due to the yearly additional funding provided for thispupil. Currently the school has 160 children on roll,organised into a single form of entry from Reception to Year 6.
