Job Description

Are you adaptable and able tobring out the best in our pupils with special talents, aged 4 - 11, some withcomplex needs We are lookingfor someone who has a good understanding ofchildrens needs, both academic and pastoral, and is able to work as part of ateam. This position will be flexiblesupporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups but also working under the ClassTeachers direction to supportall children within the whole class setting.This is a temporary position until 31st August 2022 linked to individual pupilhigher needs funding but with the potential to renew. The successful candidate will bepart of a friendly, skilled and hardworking staff.CPD is available to meet theneeds of the successful applicant and they will be supported by the SENCO,class teacher and other linked professionals. What is essential:- Previous experience of workingwith children (desirable for the applicant to hold relevantqualifications);Awillingness tolearn;A readiness to work alongside allchildren within the class;Flexibility;Capable of showinginitiative;Friendly, approachablemanner;Good communicationskills;Supportive of our schoolethos.The successful candidate(s) willbe expected to workfive days a week, 8.30am to 3.15pm although part-timemornings only may be considered for exceptional candidates. Additional hoursmay be available to support our delivery of a range of extra-curricular clubsbefore and after school. We benefit fromextensivegrounds and a well set out modern building (currently undergoing somefurther improvements).
