The successful candidate will have technical, creative and practical skills in media productionThesuccessful candidate will also be a personal tutor.As a Teacher of Media, you will be responsible for: Planning and leading learning experiences which take into account student ability and needs. Setting overall standards in the department and creating anaction plan in line with the colleges planning and quality assurance procedures. Adhering to the college assessment policy and procedures. Supporting students and other teachers as required. Using technology and college resources to ensure a high standardof teaching and learning. Creating a purposeful, positive and supportive teaching environment. Ensuring your lessons are in line with curriculum requirements. Managing a tutor group and carrying out related duties. Covering for absent colleagues as and whenrequired. Participating in regular professional development to enhance subject knowledge. Ensuring the safeguarding and protection of young people within the college. Promoting good behaviour and challenging any issues both inside and outside of the classroom.Monitoring student progress in line with college tracking systems. Attending college events including Parents Evening. General administrative duties relating to your department as well as marketing and promotion activities.
