The Company:ER Recruitment is assisting an international digital technology and services business in finding their next Subsidence Engineer. The company focus on the global Insurance Industry and provide a bespoke package of technologies designed by award-winning insuranceprofessionals to manage claims better, faster and cheaper. They are looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering the highest customer service who is technically capable and can support the companys continuous innovation.Role & Responsibilities of the Subsidence Engineer:
  • Conduct assessment of physical damage to insured properties by desktop validation/livestream link to on-site field agents in order to determine cause of damage and liability
  • Report the findings of any desktop validation/livestream link or site visit utilising in-house/bespoke digital technology and instruct any further investigations, work or action to proactively progress the claim through to settlement
  • Maintain excellent, proactive communication with all claim parties
  • Ensure all administrative work is kept up to date in accordance with the companys philosophy, adhere to all KPIs and SLAs whilst also delivering excellent customer service
  • You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and work with a team of engineers and technical claims handlers
  • Strive to continually reduce claim cycle times through effective technical input at all stages of each individual claim
  • Identify improvements to both process and system through normal day to day engineering by supporting the implementation of changes to further enhance technical claims management delivery and ultimately client experience
  • Site visits required on a selective basis in the event of sudden damage or to attain further information
About You as the Subsidence Engineer:
  • CEng, MICE, MRIS, MCIOB designation or equivalent
  • Over 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Excellent technical knowledge of subsidence
  • Detailed engineering knowledge including health and safety aspects
  • Strong understanding of insurance and understanding of insurance liability
  • An extremely driven and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills
  • High level of written and verbal communication
  • Computer literate using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
  • A collaborative team player who is well organised
  • Someone who will ensure the client is at the core focus of every business decision
  • Capable of assessing and resolving problems independently whilst also providing technical support to other team members
