Job Description

My client is looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist for a temporary, part-time position (3 days a week) spanning 11-12 months due to parental leave.Client DetailsMy client is a leading technology company that specialises in providing software solutions for the nonprofit sector.They offer a range of products and services designed to assist organisations in areas such as fundraising, donor management, marketing, and financial management.DescriptionResponsibilities:

  • Processing monthly payroll for all 3 of our UK entities for c. 300 employees
  • Collating and processing all UK payroll data into ADP, IRIS (Star) and Activpayroll
  • Preparing monthly payroll reconciliations
  • Leading new payroll solware implementation project and providing expertise on best payroll practices to streamline operations.
  • Working closely with HR team to ensure all payroll data is captured and resolve any system or process issues
  • Managing the payroll inbox, handling employee queries, liaising with HR at head office, and other bodies (HMRC, Pension Regulator, etc)
  • Completing Year End procedures and producing P60s
  • Producing and distributing P11Ds, assisting with annual PSA submissions and dealing with other ad hoc payroll tax related queries.
ProfileRequirements:
  • Previous experience within a Senior Payroll position.
  • Solid understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of different payroll systems and solware, with expertise in implementing system automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, effectively convey complex payroll concepts to various audiences.
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Adherence to GDPR, confidentiality, and data protection legislation.
