Date Posted:2021-05-11-07:00Country:United KingdomLocation:Crompton Technology Group Limited, Chalker Way, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 4XDCollins Aerospace Systems has a brand-new opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager to join the Actuation Systems business in Banbury!Reporting to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your new role will be to help drive the implementation of; products, processes and technologies to both new and existing production lines, as well as provide ongoing support for various operational projects.Your ResponsibilitiesWork with the team of Manufacturing Engineers to; coordinate & prioritise their workloadCreate and manage concise project plans for all ME projects and support the co-ordination of supporting functions with external suppliers when requiredSupport the training and development of the team through individual development plans and look to close skill gapsEnsure methods and processes are capable of meeting requirements for safety, quality, delivery rate, cost and lead timeTake ownership for solutions which reduce total manufacturing cost and improve productivityLead FAT, SAT and any required validation testing on new pieces of production equipmentLead/support quality issue investigations, quickly providing robust containment actions and conducting root cause analysis to implement permanent corrective actionsImplement process automation where deemed appropriateExperience and SkillsProven Manufacturing Engineering experience with an understanding of manufacturing systems, production flow lines and the introduction of new technologiesExperience of specifying, designing and procuring production tooling and equipmentExperience of leading projectsExperience of ensuring process compliance to AS9100 standards and an awareness of current EH&S legislationExperience of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs) and implementing appropriate improvement actionsCompetent in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)About UsCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
