Job Description

Pay: Scale 1C Start Date: Immediate INDIVIDUAL LEARNING SUPPORTASSISTANT / SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT £15,842 (Actual term time onlysalary, all year round equivalent £18,198) Permanent position 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 - 16:30Monday - Friday, Term-Time only* (38 weeks per year plus 5 days trainingtotalling 39 weeks per year) *You will be required to work upto a maximum of two weeks for the schools short term break provision ifrequired, for which an extra payment will be made. Bradstow is a creative and uniqueresidential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19. It is situatedin 13 acres of parkland in Broadstairs, Kent. We seek to meet the needs ofchildren and young people with autism and severe learning difficulties withassociated behaviours that may be challenging using a Gentle Teaching approachand engaging in reflective practice. We have achieved national recognition forour developments in Communication and Behaviour Management and ChildrensRights. We have been awarded the Gold standard for the Investors in Peopleaccreditation and can offer a vibrant, life-long career. The aim of this post is to providesupport to a named student and their classroom group during school hours. Theduties will not be confined solely to the named student but also involveworking with other students in the class. You will be required to take onresponsibility for a variety of everyday tasks as directed by teaching staff.With guidance from teaching staffyou will work as part of the class team to implement all aspects of thestudents educational programme and will play an important role in safeguardingthe students health and safety.
