We will be offering up to 50-day places to children and young people from the ages of 7 -19 who have ASD, Moderate Learning Disabilities and /or Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. We aresituated in beautiful countryside, in Frolesworth in South Leicestershire, with easy access from the M1 and M69. We will offer pupils highly- individualised programmes of education across all National Curriculum subjects and a Life Skills curriculum in smallclass groups of approx. 5 -8 pupils. What we are looking for:We are looking for Science specialist Teacher ideally with SEND experience. The ability to teach children with ASD is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.We are seeking an inspiring and creative Science Teacher with good subject knowledge and experience in curriculum development. You will have the ability to engage pupils effectively, be enthusiastic, well-organised and sensitive to the needs of children withSEND. You will have experience of and understand their challenging behaviour and have the empathy and resilience to support it. You will also be committed to the safeguarding of vulnerable children and young people.You will be calm, approachable and committedto pursuing the best possible outcomes for our children, with a strong desire to enable them to develop their potential to take up employment or work-based training. You will be confident teaching a range of subjects, age groups and levels, delivering stimulatingand motivating lessons and activities to pupils.
