Job Description

SEN Caseworker RolesRemote WorkingDuration: 6 month contracts initiallyStart: April 2024Interviews: These will take place on 4th March 2024, so please confirm your availability for this date Our client is currently looking for 4 SEN Reviews Officers and 2 EHCNA Assessment Officers to join them on a remote working basis for 6 months initially.SEN Reviews Officers x 4

  • Coordinate the procedures associated with managing a caseload of children and young people (cyp) with an “Education, Health and Care Plan” (EHCP)
  • Support families to understand the processes when an EHCP annual review and or amendments to the EHCP is required
  • Gather all information concisely regarding the child to support decisions about amendments to an (EHCP) that will ensure the child is in receipt of the right support in the right place to meet their needs
  • Ensure that appropriate steps have been taken and that all appropriate actions have been taken to ensure an EHCP is up-to-date and accurate for those who have them
  • Ensure statutory timeframes as governed by the SEND code of practice, and other appropriate legislative frameworks, are adhered to and achieved for all actions relating to maintaining or ceasing an EHCP
EHCNA Assessment Officers x2
  • Coordinate the procedures associated with a request for an “Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment” (EHCNA) is made for a child with additional needs
  • Ensure statutory timeframes as governed by the SEND code of practice, and other appropriate legislative frameworks, are adhered to and achieved
  • Support families to understand the processes when a request for an EHCNA is made
  • Support decision making by gathering all information concisely regarding the child and to support decisions about whether to issue an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
  • Where an EHCP is agreed, to ensure that information is clear, that appropriate provision is named in the EHCP and put in place to support the needs of the child
