Location: UK Flexible* Contract type: Fixed term contract until September 2022The British Red Cross 10-year strategy, published in 2020, puts tackling health inequalities at its heart. Through policy and practice change, the British Red Cross policy, researchand advocacy department is committed to ensuring people can access the care and support they need, without falling through the gaps - no matter who they are or where they live. To help us do that, the British Red Cross has recently been made a member of theHealth and Wellbeing Alliance, a partnership between NHS England and Improvement, the Department of Health and Social Care, Public Health England and voluntary sector organisations, focused on promoting equality and reducing health inequalities. *post pandemicrestrictions this role will require weekly travel to LondonAbout the role The Research and Co-production Officer for Health Inequalities has been created to support the delivery of an ambitious new British Red Cross work programme focussed on addressing healthinequalities and driven by our new Health and Wellbeing Alliance membership. The post holder will amplify the voice of those we work with, and help us shape national strategic policy and programmes through research and co-production. What we are looking forAn experienced research professional; you will have: - Knowledge of and demonstrable interest in health inequalities and Englands health and social care system, and policy - Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, and experienceof applying this to policy research projects - A demonstrable commitment to co-production and ensuring people with lived experience are at the heart of our policy research - Ability to manage and commission policy research projects Closing date for applicationsis 23.59 on the 12th September 2021 with interviews to follow.
