Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a Reprographics, Receptionist and Administration Assistant to join our innovative team from November 2021 to work within our high performing Academy. This role is fixed term maternity cover.About UsHarris City Academy CrystalPalace is a mixed Academy for 1,300 students aged 11-18, with a large sixth form of over 350 students. The Academy has three consecutive Outstanding judgments by Ofsted, with the most recent inspection in 2014 finding the Academy to be Outstanding in everyaspect. We are a consistently high performing school; in 2019, our progress 8 score was 0.61, 94% of our students achieved a 4+ in English and 86% in maths. Our motto, All Can Achieve encapsulates our vision that all members of the Academy community aresupported and encouraged to achieve their absolute potential.Main Areas of Responsibility Reprography, including the operation of copying equipment, photocopiers, printer and other reprographic equipment and meeting all reprographics deadlines. Assistancein the first line maintenance of reprographic equipment, including: fault finding, regular safety checks and the completion of necessary report forms for equipment repair, and assistance in liaison with engineers when they come to service equipment. The assistancein maintaining a charge back system and appropriate levels of consumable stock in the department The maintenance of stock records equipment and regular stock-taking checks. Support students and staff in their reprographic and equipment requirements includingmoney on student cards for use on photocopiers. To assist in the Academy with reprographic requirements for all Academy events. Attendance at Academy functions where support is required. This may necessitate evening or weekend work. Responsible for the upkeepof Staff Trays. Ensuring continuous supplies of all staff workroom forms. Supporting the copying and redacting of student files as required. Under the direction of line manager, such other tasks that may be required to further the efficient running of departmentand Academy, commensurate with the level of the post holder. Reception and General Administrative Duties including SENCO administration Under the direction of the Administration Operations Manager: Receptionist from 7.30am until 9.30am on a daily basis andto cover as directed by Principals PA. Deal with all enquiries from visitors in respect of Academy events, admissions and enrolment procedures and refer them to the appropriate member of staff when necessary. Maintain appropriate records of incoming callersand outgoing staff from the Academy. Sign for deliveries and inform the appropriate recipient to arrange collection of goods. Receive company representatives, Governors, interview applicants etc. and contact relevant member of staff and direct visitors towaiting areas. Supervise 2 student receptionists. To provide administrative support for the Academy. Assisting with distribution of internal and external post. To assist in the development of appropriate resources. Provide administrative support for the AwardsEvenings and other Academy events. To contribute to the subject areas Improvement Plan and its implementation. To attend all appropriate meetings. To contribute to the whole Academys planning activities. To cover in SSC when directed. To invigilate examinationsand support with examination admin as directed. To undertake duties as directed including lunchtimes.
