Job Description

Regional Clinician - Psychologist - (201305)Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw) plus On CallSalary £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience) plus mileage for travelHome based but covering the South region (currently including Kent, Birmingham, Swindon and Hertfordshire).Brilliant outcomes through integrated health, housing and care. Were delivering brilliant long-term outcomes for people who have complex support needs through integrating health, housing and care.As Regional Clinician in our Transforming Care team, youll provide a specialist Psychology service to our customers across the region as well as equipping our operational teams to deliver support that enables our customers to live a fulfilling life in their own home within the local community. Together, youll be supporting our customers who have complex support needs, including learning disabilities, autism, a diagnosis of mental health conditions, personality disorders, communication differences, alongside ongoing physical health conditions. They may also have a forensic background and support needs related to their behaviour.This is an exciting, brand new role which youll really get to shape and make your own! As our Psychology specialist youll be leading on psychological assessments, formulations and interventions, working collaboratively with our customers, their families, clinical and operational colleagues across the region. Youll use your experience and brilliant skills to ensure all practice is psychologically informed and person led, providing clinical advice to your colleagues on the day to day support required and maintaining a healthy psychological environment. Youll advance colleagues knowledge and practice on psychological care and wellbeing, enabling support to be delivered which ensures safety, promotes recovery, and maximises independence. Youll also contribute to the development and embedding of new interventions and practices aligned to our LIFE support practice model (Living Independently and Feeling Enabled).Youll report to Karen, our Head of Transforming Care who has a wealth of experience from her clinical and operational roles working across the NHS, Social Care and private sector. Shes also a dual registered nurse and qualified in Applied Behavioural Analysis. Outside of work youll find her keeping fit in dance aerobics classes, singing in a choir (which shes just recently joined) and discussing the latest book as a member of a book club (we wonder what theyre reading at the moment). Your clinical supervision will be provided by Kathryn, our Psychology lead, who is a registered Clinical and Forensic Psychologist and accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapist. Kathryn is passionate about the development of our psychologically and trauma informed approach as well as ensuring that well-being is at the heart of what we do so our customers are enabled to have the best quality of life possible. Where youll workYoull be supporting our customers from their own homes throughout the south region, which currently includes Kent, Birmingham, Swindon and Hertfordshire. You can be based from home, but there is the requirement for frequent travel to support our customers and colleagues, with further locations to work from as we grow and support more customers.A bit about youIt goes without saying that youll be an experienced Psychologist, holding relevant professional qualifications; HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, BPS, Doctoral Degree or equivalent. Youll have experience of working with a wide variety of customers across the full range of clinical severity, including some experience of working with customers who have complex support needs. Youll have a brilliant background in providing clinical supervision and unleashing the potential of colleagues through your clinical advice, support and training. Youll have a current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
