Practice in an Outstanding Childrens Service and trailblaze new ways of working Join our Fostering Recruitment and Assessment team, based in Swanwick in Southampton. Our primary role is to ensure that Hampshire has a large pool of foster carers to look after Hampshires most vulnerable children.You will undertake detailed fostering assessments of applicants, and provide initial training for them, to prepare them for the fostering task. The assessments are then presented to the fostering panel to consider the application and make a recommendation to the agency decision maker. The team also undertake skills appraisals to ensure that foster carers are paid the appropriate fee in line with their skills.Once enquiries are progressed, you will undertake an initial home visit to discuss the fostering role, and work with the applicants to consider that it is right for them and their family.We will provide you with: Annual leave starting from 25 days per annum and rising to 28 days based on experience and length of service. A hybrid tablet device, so you can work more effectively and flexibly. 5 personal development days per annum. Ample progression opportunities.
