Job Description

The starting salary for this role is £27,991 per annum, working 36 hours per week.This role is open to remote working meaning you arent required in the office 5 days a week. We are on a rapid change journey with new management, innovativeapproaches, energy, and ambition.To deliver the 2030 community vision we are committed to changing and radically improving the Councils culture, approach, and performance - putting our residents current and future needs first.The role of Project SupportOfficer will play an important part in the Councils ongoing transformation. Youll be working on exciting transformation projects in our Communities portfolio - these are significant programmes of work that will deliver real improvements to the lives of peoplewho live, work, and study in Surrey. Were transforming our Libraries and Cultural Services, enhancing the experience of our customers, and developing new ways of working in partnership with communities and other organisations. These programmes involve collaborationwith teams across the Council to design and deliver new ways of working that are innovative, efficient, and that drive continuous improvement towards achievement of our community vision.In this role you will be involved in supporting all aspects of projectdelivery from business case development through ongoing project management to evaluation of impact. You will provide support to small teams of Programme and Project Managers to produce and maintain project documentation and to develop and monitor progressagainst project plans, including monitoring risks, issues, and dependencies. You will lead on support to project governance, including drafting and maintaining terms of reference, roles and responsibilities and stakeholder mapping documentation, servicingmeetings (producing agendas, compiling papers and taking minutes), and supporting the organisation of meetings and events (virtual and face-to-face). You will have an opportunity to gain experience of a wide range of tasks and projects including taking a moreactive role in aspects of project management, alongside the Project and Programme Managers, to support your development.You will need to demonstrate an ability to think clearly and logically, to maintain focus and attention to detail, and to identify opportunitiesfor process improvement and take a lead on putting these into practice.
