Job Description

Project Scheduler - Airborne Broughton Summary of Role Raytheon UKs Airborne Division is looking for a Project Scheduler to join the Planning and Controls Group, based at Raytheons site in Broughton in North Wales, providing Project Planning, Risk Management, and Earned Value/budget control support including variance analysis reporting and key decision making. Main Duties Work with the manufacturing team to deliver robust planning that supports the delivery of aircraft across one of Airbornes primary programmes. Project Planning, including the creation and analysis of variance data to support the programme in reporting and key decision making. Responsible for integrity of the Programme Tasking Schedule (PTS)ensuring all Raytheon UK best practice is adhered to and maintained in line with the programme cadence. Ensure contractual and programme baseline control management is adopted to ensure the PTS maintain a true and realistic baseline. Preform Critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis (SRA) identifying opportunities for project improvement or areas of concern Support the reporting of historical Earned Value (EV) through the executive tool set together with variance root cause analysis and predict future programme delivery performance. Support the Programme Manager with analysis of trend data and provision of metrics for review at Programme Review Boards. Support the development of Programme Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Organisational Breakdown Structures (OBS) to ensure effective cost and schedule reporting. Support Bid and Proposal activities through the collation and transfer of Basis of Estimates into the Pricing Team Ensure consistent application of approved best practice processes and tools using Raytheon UKs IPDS (Integrated Product Development System). Candidate Requirements: Knowledge of working in a Project/Programme Management/Control environment. Working knowledge of Risk Management Processes. Experience of Microsoft Project EPM 2010/2016 and other Microsoft Office applications (Excel. Word, PowerPoint). Ability to support and guide Programme Managers and their Teams Ability to multi-task, with good written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the business Ability to work with diverse project teams and stakeholders Commercial and Business awareness in a complex projects environment Educated to Degree Level or equivalent although not essential with demonstrable relevant experience. Experience of working within Aerospace manufacturing/Airframe assembly or systems engineering type programmes would be a significant advantage Experience of working within the Defence Industry.
