That makes our Council a hugely exciting place to be.With more challenges ahead, we are looking for talented people to support our work.We are now offering the opportunity for an experienced planning lawyer to join the councils highly regarded legal team in an exciting, dynamic and motivating environment.You will play a key role working closely with the Councils City Development department in realising the councils ambitions for the City. More generally, you will provide practical planning advice, negotiate and draft planning agreements, and advise on enforcement and prosecutions. You will attend Planning Committee when required and provide advice and representation at planning appeals, inquiries, tribunals and the courts and instruct Counsel where appropriate on more complex matters. You will manage a varied caseload of routine and more complex legal cases, including high profile projects. Ideally you will have experience in a local authority environment, but this is not essential.In return, we offer you the opportunity to work in Exeter and the work-life balance that comes with working in Devon.
