Job Description

Locum Commercial Contracts LawyerRemote WorkingUp to £55 per hour UmbrellaEast MidlandsVenn Groups specialist legal team are currently working with an ambitious Local Authority in the East Midlands who are recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their department. Expected duration: 3 - 6 months Hourly rate: Up to £55 per hour umbrella Skill level: Qualified Lawyer (Solicitors and Barristers and CILEX Fellows)Working pattern: Remote Working+ Part time (30 hours per week) (Please note that candidates that have the relevant experience but only can work on a part time basis may also be considered)Duties may include:

  • Reviewing reports for Executive and Non-Executive committees
  • Reducing the existing portfolio of Council Properties
  • Drafting new catering agreements for various educational establishments
  • Building and maintaining relationships with other colleagues within the Local Authority
  • Proactively working to support the team and provide training to junior members
  • Drafting relevant contracts for developmental projects within the local area
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders thus negotiating with them where necessary
  • Ensuring all relevant regulatory procedures are carried out hence providing advice when required
