The Stockwood Park Academy is recruiting an Interim Head of PE Female, to lead and manage the exceptional PE Faculty from September 2021. The PE department is a large, enthusiastic and dynamic department consisting of 8 members of staff. We offer a variedextracurricular timetable ensuring a mix of competing team practices and recreational fun activities to encourage participation and having a healthy active lifestyle. These activities range from Rugby, football, netball, cricket, dodgeball, tennis, badmintonand rounders.The curriculum offers a diverse and inclusive approach ensuring students understand the reasons behind participation. We ensure we focus on a range of team, individual and fitness-based activities. These range from Football, Netball, Rugby, Badminton,circuit training, boxercise. Dance is offered at the school but through the Performing Arts department.At Key Stage 4 we offer the students a route to further develop their interest in the sports industry. We have great success in Pearson GCSE Physical Educationand a vocational option through the Level 1/2 NCFE Health and Fitness. As a trust we currently offer a wide range of 6th form subjects - sport included. At the trust we have a football and a cricket Academy where students study Level 3 Cambridge Technicalalongside their training. Students not part of the sports academies can also take the sports course without being a part of them alongside other courses.
