Job Description

Michael Page Treasury are partnering exclusively with a well known, multinational organisation who are in the market for a new Head of Treasury to lead a small team during a period of change for the business.Client DetailsOur client has grown massively overseas over the past few years, and are now looking for a new Treasurer to help move the business forward in 2021 following new ownership.Description

  • Groups operational banking relationships with key transactional banks
  • Maintaining operational banking and cash management structures and mandates
  • Managing and co-ordinating competitive tendering for ancillary bank business as necessary
  • Managing intra-group bank liquidity and dealing FX swaps to ensure currency bank accounts stay in credit.
  • Managing Intra-group funding (in consultation with Group Tax) and ensuring inter-company loans appropriately hedged as necessary.
  • Managing Group FX forecast process - using commercial understanding to work with business to identify level of currency exposures.
  • Actively follow the financial markets, advise Treasury Committee of hedging required to meet Group requirements, and obtaining the necessary sign offs to trade from the CFO.
  • Preparation of monthly Treasury Dashboard report for the Treasury Committee and Treasury reports for the Audit Committee and Board
  • Working with finance on statutory accounting disclosures relating to treasury and relevant financial instruments, and assess the impact of, and propose amendments to group policies where affected by prevailing (or expected) accounting standards.
    • ProfileThe successful candidate will have:
  • Clear understanding of business, and currency exposures and cash requirements to be managed.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange and other financial markets.
  • Highly numerate with knowledge of hedge accounting principles
  • AMCT and preferably ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with at least 10 years experience working at a managerial level in the Treasury function of a large corporate.
  • Knowledge of banking practices and customs across relevant geographies
  • Organised and commercial approach when putting Treasury/banking products and services from third parties out to tender.
