Job Description

Robert Half are recruiting a Financial Controller on a permanent basis in Melksham. This role would suit someone seeking a step up into their first Financial Controller role, with 3-5 years post qualified experience.The roleThe Financial Controller will be responsible for all financial reporting for the UK business including coordinating the audit, leading a small team and working closely with the Finance Director to support with reporting and budgeting. We are looking forsomeone with previous experience of working in audit or as a financial accountant in industry with strong controls knowledge and experience of leading a team. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Year-end statutory reporting.
  • Coordinating and managing the audit, including liaising with external auditors.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders on finance related queries, including tax matters.
  • Overseeing month end reporting.
  • Managing a team of 4+.
  • Working closely with the Finance Director to support with budgeting and forecasting.
ProfileThe ideal candidate will have the following skills or attributes:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with 3-5 years PQE.
  • Experience of managing/supervising 2+ people.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong technical reporting knowledge.
Package
  • £65,000 - £75,000.
  • Private health care.
  • Hybrid working (2 days on site).
