Job Description

This is a permanent role working 5 days a week but some weekend support may be needed where required.Salary is up to £40,400 depending on experience. Plus, overtime rates and company performance bonus.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Provide technical specialist support in troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling of the full range of Cummins products from mid-range to High horsepower in the following markets: On-Highway, Off-Highway, Industrial, Marine & Powergen at the Customers site& our specialised workshops, some working away from home where needed.

  • Making sense of complex problems.
  • Building strong customer relationships
  • Creates and verifies customer, equipment, and technical information; captures specific data using required service tools.
  • Obtains product technical issue information and utilises available resources including data management tools.
  • Troubleshoots issue following guided workflows, procedures, specialised equipment such as mechanical and electronic service tools, and diagnoses computer software to isolate failed components to enable a successful repair.
  • Identifies the suite of available hardware and software tools required for a service event.
  • Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, using required tools within standard repair time to ensure a quality repair.
  • Performs progressive damage check following guidelines to restore to pre-failure condition.
  • Interprets and analyses the interactions of internal and external electrical and mechanical systems by applying tools, service publications and taking measurements to efficiently and correctly diagnose and repair.
Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving license
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Basic level field service work experience
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Customer service experience
  • Previous diesel engine repair experience is essential.
