Job Description

We have just agreed a new equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) action plan that will help us achieve this vision and drastically improve outcomes within the organisation, and in our work to tackle inequality across Surrey. The action plan is centred on five key areas: Employee experience Leadership Knowing and engaging our communities Communication and engagement Delivering inclusive servicesWe are looking for an exceptional EDI Programme and Change Lead, who can stretch our thinking and drive forward a radical approach to ensure we are an organisation that genuinely values difference. You will be responsible for programme managing delivery of our EDI action plan, while working creatively and innovatively to drive the change needed to achieve our ambitions. The role will build on work to date, bring new thinking into the council and help us to turn our focus outwards to make sure the services we deliver are inclusive and designed to tackle the inequalities experienced by communities across the county.This role will be cross cutting, working closely with our Corporate Leadership Team EDI sponsor, Katie Stewart, and other senior officers and Members across the council to influence change.
