Job Description

Electronics Engineer£30,000 - £50,000SomersetDays Only (Mon-Fri)gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Electronics Engineer to work at their facility based near SomersetPerformance Objectives

  • Our client is looking for people who enjoy taking responsibility, who bring energy, who are passionate about design, who want to work with the latest technologies and want to grow and develop our next generation products. They employ over 1200 people onour 30 acre campus in Somerset and they have just announced a £30m investment to support the expansion of their product offering.
  • We are looking for electronic engineers to join our R&D team, based in South Somerset.
  • Supporting enhancements to existing products and developing new solutions
  • Using the latest technologies to ensure products are efficient, optimised for performance, are cost effective and energy efficient.
  • Principally focused on embedded control, your design solutions will interface with drives, sensors, displays, intelligent batteries and designing solutions for our new autonomous cleaning program.
Person Specification
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering with 3+ years experience.
  • Schematic & layout design using Altium Designer
  • Demonstrable product development experience of design work from concept and requirements capture, design through to prototype, test and production validation.
  • Desirable; trained in Lean and Six Sigma techniques.
  • Knowledge of standard production and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experienced in prototype evaluation & using typical lab equipment
  • Desirable EMC test knowledge
  • Desirable experience in power electronics, embedded electronics, motor drive technologies and sensors
