Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer

  • Location: Covering: South West
  • Salary: Circa £39k-£42k
  • Type: Full-time | Permanent
  • Start Date: ASAP
Innotech Partners are collaborating with an established Contractor who specialise design, installation and maintenance services for electrical, heating, plumbing, fire and security systems. They are seeking multiple enthusiastic Electrical Test and InspectionEngineer to join them on a permanent full time basis.If successful, you will be joining a progressive company within a team of around 130 engineers working across the Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. The standard hours are 40 hours a week Monday - Friday and overtime is plentiful if and when you wouldlike to pick it up.Role Duties
  • Carry out inspection and testing on customers electrical installations (EICRS) including Emergency Lighting testing and remedial repairs as required.
  • Complete all relevant reports and certification associated with your inspection and testing
  • Ensure all reports and certification are completed and submitted on time
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault finding and rewiring
  • Assess the materials and hours required to carry out repairs and feedback reports to the office
  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial, industrial, agricultural and domestic electrical systems and ensure installations are to manufacturers standards
  • Ensure good quality workmanship, which upholds Company standards, complies with building codes and follows safety requirements
  • Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction
  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer queries
  • Install electrical systems to current BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Provide professional assessments and advice for customers
Requirements
  • SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2 qualification
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394 and 2395 qualification
  • Able to demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements
  • Knowledge of BS7671:2018 18th Edition and 2:2022 Regulations
  • Previous electrical experience of working in an electrical testing environment
  • Numerically proficient with excellent attention to detail
  • Friendly and approachable with a flexible attitude, good customer focus and service
  • Proven delivery of results
  • Knowledge of Policies, Processes and Procedures including Safety
  • Team player with above average interpersonal and written communication
  • Full UK drivers licence
