Soulbury Salary Scale A 2-7 (£40,136 - £49,714) plus up to 3 SPA points, area fringe allowance of £833 per annum and essential car user allowance.The L-SPA was developed in July 2020 as part of Surrey County Councils ongoing commitment to transformation and in response to the identified priorities in the Surrey SEND Partnership strategy Surrey Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Partnership Strategy 2019-2022The L-SPA work is primarily led by two elements; operational and developmental. From 1st January 2021 the L-SPA took on the Week 1-6 process of the statutory assessment process from receipt of request to final decision making. Request for Assessment is the operational strand of the L-SPAs remit however moving forward we will be focussing developing our Request for Support pathways which will be an exciting area of development requiring innovative approaches embedded in evidence-based practice.We are seeking an Educational Psychologist/ Speech and Language Therapist to join our Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) which is the heart of the L-SPA work. Being part of the MDT means much more than just statutory SEND practice, we are problem solvers, innovators and above all passionate about delivering the best possible for outcomes for children in a timely and supportive way. We work closely with our colleagues in Health and Social Care to help children, young people and families, to be solutions focussed and take a strengths-based approach to identifying and meeting needs without having to depend on statutory plans.
