Clare College, Cambridge is seeking to appoint a talented fundraiser as its new Development Director, a key position within the College.Development DirectorClare College, CambridgeSalary is expected to be in the range of £78,000-£88,000 per annumThis is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the most successful College development offices as it moves into the next stage of its 700th Anniversary Campaign - securing philanthropic support for access, student support, teaching, research, and community.Working closely with the Master and supported by a highly engaged Fellowship, you will play a key role in developing the 700th Anniversary Campaign. You will be responsible for developing and implementing an ambitious and innovative programme, supported by a dedicated and talented team of development professionals. Holding a portfolio of key donors and prospects, you will identify, cultivate and personally solicit potential benefactors for major giftsFounded in 1326, Clare College is the second oldest of the 31 Colleges in the University of Cambridge. Regarded as one of the most progressive and informal, it is renowned as a College that achieves academically at the highest levels, whilst also being welcoming, forward-thinking, and inclusive. The appointment of Loretta Minghella as the new Master has the potential to open new conversations and possibilities with potential donors.You will be an experienced and innovative fundraiser with a proven record of raising significant gifts. You will have the desire and drive to identify, cultivate and personally solicit potential benefactors for major gifts from a global alumni and supporter population. Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the presence and intellect to operate at the highest levels, are all prerequisites.This is an exciting and pivotal time to be joining Clare.
