Job Description

A client within the Public Sector based in Somerset is currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join their Capital Programmes team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidatehaving experience of working within a local authority.The RoleKey purpose of the role is to Deliver Capital Programme contracts ensuring the objectives, targets and priorities of the client are achieved whilst remaining compliant within statutory regulations.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage external contractors to deliver excellent performance at all times for all workstreams allocated to them.
  • Actively engage with residents in relation to projects and assist in continually improving resident satisfaction with service delivery.
  • Assist in procurement activities for Capital Programmes to be allocated to them.
The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require to have evidence of continuing development of professional and management skills, e.g., through training, qualification and/or experience.The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
  • Relevant professional qualification or experience or Membership of a relevant professional body, e.g., CIOB.
