Job Description

Strategic Commissioning Manager (Childrens Residential)Interim contract until end of March 2022Inside IR35 - £500 - £600 per day (via umbrella)South East, Local AuthorityRemote working supported but with 2 days onsite presence required per weekA fantastic opportunity has arisen within a Midlands/South East council for a Strategic Commissioning Manager (Childrens Residential) service to join for a specific integrated programme until March 2022.About your role as Strategic Commissioning Manager (Childrens Residential):

  • This role is dedicated to supporting the LA and CCG to manage a complex programme of work centered around a tier 4 inpatient step-down to a residential childrens home [bespoke]. There are a significant number of stakeholders and interested parties
  • Significant experience as a Childrens Service Commissioner [CiC/CWD/SEND] within an LA setting will be required
  • You will be an excellent communicator [oral and written skills] and demonstrate effective negotiation skills with all stakeholders
Your required experience as Strategic Commissioning Manager (Childrens Residential):
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels [LA/CCG/Provider]
  • Proven project management skills and recognised project management qualification
  • Skilled in managing expectations
  • Effective risk management assessment skills/mitigation
  • Solution focused/logical thinker
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage time/deadlines
  • Ability to manage/oversee complex programmes of work and their interdependencies
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good editing skills
  • Ability to synthesize core information and produce accurate and validated project management schedules and reports
  • Available references for most recent 2 years roles.
