Job Description

The role is required to assist in the process of negotiating and agreeing successful contracts with our customers. The post holder will be expected to draft and negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers and represent the business.Client DetailsGlobal business in the manufacturing sector.DescriptionIndicative main responsibilities / duties:* To assist in the preparation of commercial tenders and to support negotiations withcustomers to secure contracts which are financially beneficial to the Group.* Support New Business Lines along with the Business Managers in negotiations with customers* Liaise with Treasury Dept. on contract terms and conditions, and other forms of agreement (agency etc), parent company guarantees & bonds* Review, comment on, and negotiate on all contract terms and conditions and other agreements with customers and suppliers (i.e. NDAs) and assist, where required, in any M&A related activities or other corporate requirements* Deliver a positive service, aimed at doing what matters most to customers whilst adhering to group objectives, leading with a positive can-do attitude* Ensure management and control of customer contracts, terms and conditions.* Assist with internal legal and contract training.Profile

  • Ideally a qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years of legal experience or a paralegal, or other legally qualified person with 5 years of relevant commercial/contracts management experience and a desire/willingness to qualify as a Solicitor in England
  • A good level of understanding of project contracting and commercial contracts, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment
