Job Description

An exciting opportunity for the position of TTM Clinical Specialist within BD’s Critical Care Division has arisen. Reporting to the BD Critical Care National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of TTM (Targeted Temperature Management) in conjunction with BD’s products and their indications across both ICU doctors and nurses in order to fully support and develop the UK business. The role is critical in creating a comprehensive awareness and environment with each customer on the value and role of TTM so that each patient can benefit from this particular therapyAn exciting opportunity for the position of TTM Clinical Specialist within BD’s Critical Care Division has arisen. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of TTM (Targeted Temperature Management) in conjunction with BD’s products and their indications across both ICU doctors and nurses in order to fully support and develop the UK business. The role is critical in creating a comprehensive awareness and environment with each customer on the value and role of TTM so that each patient can benefit from this particular therapy.In this role you will create a deep understanding of TTM and Arctic Sun with targeted customers by driving professional education and creating internal therapy champions within each account. You will provide extensive field support of targeted accounts during the life cycle of the introduction and protocolising of TTM Arctic Sun treatment including:

  • Pre-evaluation, clinical training and installation
  • Intra-evaluation, technical and clinical support, case review and feedback
  • Post purchase training to drive acceptance and utilisation with all stakeholders and its full acceptance as a protocolised standard of care in the institution
  • Indication development of the established centre
  • Assessment, evaluation and maintenance performance against TTM protocol by utilising CoreConnect to constantly improve practice - track and monitor account performance using agreed actions and metrics
  • In this position you will also be responsible to launch and provide clinician training through the Arctic Circle programme to create in account champion(s) with the objective of said champion(s) becoming a localised trainer(s) and advocate for TTM. In addition, you will support the UK reference centres and proctor networks and the facilitation of peer to peer communications in support of the sales force including proctor days, local symposia, round table meetings and masterclasses.Other tasks for this role will include:
  • Clinical support of key national and international clinical trial centres targeted to those centres developing treatment protocols for new indications
  • Undertake and support "train the trainer" of in country training initiatives including per diem nurses where applicable
  • In conjunction with the European Clinical Specialist, provide training updates for the sales force and customers including reviews of key clinical publications, updates on guidelines etc.
  • New hire training in coordination with country management and division
  • Ad hoc liaison with 3rd party service and repair providers and support of field based product upgrades
  • In hospital support launch of upcoming new products
  • We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic candidate with a degree level nursing qualification. You should have experiences in the following sectors: Successful field based clinical support experience within the medical device industry and a clinical background ideally in an Intensive Care Unit / Operating Theatre or related environment.You should be able to provide evidence of an ability to develop strong technical knowledge of critical care products, related procedures and indications. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage all levels of interaction with internal and external customers of all levels. You should have the flexibility to travel extensively across your dedicated territory in the South West of the UK. Required skills
