Female PA User with visual impairment in HA3 requires female* Personal Assistants who are able and willing to drive. You will need to be aged 21+ for vehicle insurance.PA are required to work from 11am to 8am and this can be in 1, 2 or 3 day blocks. Thestarting salary is £150 whilst training and progresses to £168 once fully competent. Overtime is available.Personal assistance is required in every aspect of the PA Users life from getting up in the morning, getting dressing, bathing, cooking, etc. Thereis a ceiling track hoist and also an electronic standing frame. PAs are given training in all aspects of my personal assistance. During the night a PA is on call to provide any assistance that is required. A PA also needs to be happy pushing a wheelchair bothinside and outside of the home. There are general household tasks including cleaning, laundry, shopping, as well as checking my diary, organizing my home under my instruction, assisting with medication, searching information online, etc.PAs are also the PAUsers eyes and need to spot if anything is amiss such as running low on milk, or the bathroom needs cleaning as well as information of interest such as BOGOF in the supermarket or a new restaurant that has opened.A Personal Assistant need to: Use their initiativeRespect confidentiality Be flexible, willing and innovative Prepare and cook good meals (nutritious healthy food is fundamental to physical and emotional wellbeing) Be chilled and calmThe PA User is humorous, creative, a talker and a good communicator. Shelikes going out to concerts, theatre, comedy gigs, for walks. She likes music (really anything that is good from gospel to R&B to hip-hop to pop) and enjoys listening to the radio - BBC4; 5live; World Service; BBC London. She attends church and whilst a PAto need to accompany her, it is not essential for you to stay during the service. She is openminded and whilst happy to have conversations with people about anything, she will not accept people being judgmental of her life choices in her home.*Gender is consideredto be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for a female worker to work with our client.
