Job Description

Are you a Civil or Mechanical Engineer looking to join a reputable UK Water CompanyDo you want to use your and engineering experience to develop BIM strategy and innovation in an award-winning, growing organizationIf so, my client currently have a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team as a BIM Engineer. As the BIM Engineer you will report into the Principal Digital Engineer and work alongside my clients in-house construction teams, playing a key role in developingBIM capabilities.You will join a market-leading company who are responsible for the delivery of an annual programme of water treatment, wastewater and network projects across the Somerset Region.Responsibilities:

  • Produce regulation-compliant and cost effective designs that meet business specifications.
  • Contribute to project design development, collaborating closely with project stakeholders throughout the whole project lifecycle and contributing to coordination, clash detection and design review workshops.
  • Produce intelligent 3D models and add more value by extracting information directly from the model.
  • Produce 2D drawings, pipe schedules, setting out, base maps and GIS data.
  • Analyse and manipulate models and drawings from the clients suppliers and partners.
Requirements:
  • Ambitions and driven individual who is looking to build upon their BIM and design experience.
  • Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree.
  • Experience working on large mechanical/electrical projects (ideally within the UK Water Industry).
  • Awareness of health and safety, including CDM issues and design risks.
  • Proficient in CAD or BIM design software packages such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks or Revit.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain and build working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent report writing skills and ability to write, implement and maintain BIM Execution Plans.
What is on offer
  • Salary Circa £42,000
  • 40 hours per week
