Job Description

The primary school is located in Nailsea, and the position is starting from the 15th April on a full-time basis. The school may also consider part-time for the right person.The schools four values are that all children are taught respect, pride, bravery, and success. They believe that every child has the ability to excel in almost any area of learning.The role:

  • Supporting the student socially, emotionally, and academically
  • Assisting day-to-day running of the classroom and supporting the teacher
  • Supporting the student 1-2-1 with various tasks and topics
We are looking for a teaching assistant who:
  • Is patient, sensitive and understanding
  • Has excellent communication skills and active listening skills
  • Experience working with children or adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities is desirable
  • A strong desire to support and work with children
The hours will be 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, however the school are willing to consider a job share for the right person. The pay is from a minimum of £85 a day, which is negotiable and dependent on experience.Why Tradewind
