The Yorkshire Film Archive is seeking an experienced Archive Collections Cataloguer for a York-based, 12-month fixed-term post to organise, catalogue, and create contextual documentation in order to provide wider access to the Ukrainian Video Archive Society(UVAS) collection. The Society is based in Bradford, and the UVAS collection comprises over 500 videotapes, recorded on VHS / Betamax formats (approximately 750 hours of footage) filmed over a period of 30 years. This unique collection captures an astonishingrange of events, traditions, and cultural activities. It features the families, people, and places that have been at the centre of the community for many decades. Candidates will need to demonstrate professional library / archival collections-based experience,a sound knowledge of cataloguing principles, metadata standards, records management, curatorship in the cultural heritage sector, particularly in relation to moving image collections, and an appreciation of working with culturally diverse collections.YorkshireFilm Archive is a registered charity (no. 1093468) which finds, preserves, and provides public access to moving image made in or about Yorkshire and the North East of England.
