Job Description

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a Welder/Metal Worker Operative to join our client based in South Shields. This is a temporary to permanent position offering £11 per hour.THE BUSINESSThe company in question are a market leading manufacturer that provide various industries. They are seeking to add to their experienced team due to an upturn in business.THE ROLE

  • You will work closely with management, have an excellent hands on working knowledge of steel manufacture, welding, and be able to work from drawings, but also display initiative/creativity in resolving technical problems.
  • Communicate with Management to provide information on project status and expected completion dates.
  • Liaise with other workshop staff and designers to carry out work
  • Continually seek to improve both personal and workshop capabilities
THE PERSON
  • Thorough machine shop knowledge and experience is essential.
  • High level of hand finishing craftsmanship in a variety of materials
  • Creativity, imagination and a willingness to adapt to different techniques and use of material.
  • You will be a self-motivated, hardworking individual who has a burning ambition to design and build imaginative and high-quality fire and stove products.
  • Good communication skills are required as well as being well organised and a strong team player with a high standard of attention to detail.
  • Good leadership and people skills, together with the ability to communicate at all levels would be an advantage.
