Support Worker#Care to join usWe are looking for Support Workers to join our friendly and welcoming team here at Hft. This is your chance to make a real difference to peoples livesDue to growth we have an exciting opportunity to join our team providing 1-1 support for people we support. We have three young people finishing college this year who require 1-1 support to engage and take part in the day service activities. This is at HwbDyffryn in Greenfield where people take part in woodworking, hair and beauty, craft, sewing and computer skills. Alongside our Nature Force service where people go out and about in taking part in horticulture and outdoor activities.The second post is based within Hwb Cyfle, our purpose built day service in Queensferry, here we support a wide range of people to take part in various activities. including arts, crafts, sports, exercise, gardening, music groups, soap making, candle makingand cookery to name a few.Experience is not essential as we provide all the training you need to be a confident support worker. Whether you are an experienced professional or completely new to the world of care, we want you to be a compassionate and friendly individual, who shares ourValues.What matters most is a positive attitude to life and a desire to support people to live their life with as much independence, choice, dignity and control as possible. You will need to have good listening skills and a practical, caring approach. Basic computerliteracy is a necessity, as the role requires you to retrieve and record information using a variety of IT systems.Location: Greenfield and Queensferry FlintshireSalary / hourly rate: £9.90 per hour - £19098.82 FTEEmployment type: Full TimeHours per week: 37, 30Working hours: Two posts available 30 hours and 37 hours per week, between the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm. Usually Monday to Friday, occasional weekends/evening to support service need maybe required.Type of service: Day ServicesA full UK driving licence is Desirable for this role. As is the ability to speak Welsh.Closing date: 04/07/2022Interview date: 11/07/2022What will you be doingThe purpose of your role is to give the highest possible standards of support to individuals with moderate to severe learning disabilitiesAs a support worker, your responsibilities are varied and no two days are the same. As well as providing physical and emotional support you may be needed to help with engaging the person with day service activities and personal care as well as supporting peoplewith healthcare needs, e.g. taking medication.Everything you do will enable people to have choices about their own lives, providing flexible services that meet peoples needs, and always looking for the best way of doing things.Whats in it for youThere are a range of benefits and career development opportunities at Hft.
