Job Description

The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for the timely and accurate payroll processing across the company, working closely with the Groups external payroll provider.The role will include ensuring compliance with local labour laws, payroll taxes, pension, and benefits in conjunction with Group and local HR departments, accurately reporting employment costs and the maintenance of employment balance sheet accounts.Client DetailsThis is a really exciting opportunity to work for our client who are a well known British retailer who were first established in the 1850s.Description

  • Timely and accurate payroll processing. Working closely with HR and Payroll providers to ensure all changes accurately reflected.
  • Organise and ensure timely approval of payments across regions.
  • Support business partner and forecasting processes.
  • Identify and action changes in local labour and regulatory laws.
  • Maintain relations with payroll provider.
  • Support reporting of employment cost and balance sheet accrual maintenance.
  • Raise payroll payments across group as required.
  • Ensure all third party payments are checked, approved & paid on time (CCV & Pensions).
  • Uploading Pension payments to Aegon platform, & reconciling the monthly payment to the balance sheet.
ProfileEssential:
  • Previous payroll processing experience.
  • Extremely competent in Microsoft excel.
  • The capacity to interpret complex financial information
  • Confident communicator with excellent inter-personal skills to build influencing relationships across the business.
  • Strong analytical skills and technical ability.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • First class problem solving and decision making.
  • Able to perform in a dynamic fast paced working environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of developing in the current role over time.
  • Microsoft office 365 skills.
Ideal:
  • Financial experience gained in fashion, retail or FMCG sectors.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics AX.
