RAN Test Engineer – 6 month contract – working mainly from home with some travel to offices in Borehamwood – Up to £220pdIntaPeople are partnered with a large consultancy who work across the Telecoms, Energy and Banking sectors. We are looking for two experienced RAN Test Engineers who will design, develop, and execute test plans for validating complex wireless products and solutions.Responsibilities in this role will include -* System level testing of embedded wireless networking devices.* Sustain production network by reproducing issues and working with suppliers and cross functional teams on fixes* Work with software engineers and other test engineers to create, document, implement and execute unit and system level test cases* Design, setup and maintain several test beds in the lab, comprised of numerous devices under test and test equipment.* Design and develop test equipment drivers and critical test tools such as sniffers and instrumentation.Though a varied role, we are looking for the following -* Experience in Mobile Telecoms background especially in Radio Access Network (RAN) (2G, 3G, 4G and 5G).* Strong knowledge in 5G and 4G LTE Architecture, with good understanding of Call flows. LTE/NR testing experience is preferred.* Working knowledge of 5G/LTE protocol stacks.* Experience with system testing activities such as feature validation, test description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, problem troubleshooting* Hands on working experience in Testing, configuration and management of RAN Nodes, focusing on Air interface, E2E performance, and Call Processing.* Hands on ability to establish and demonstrate new technology.We’re also looking for people with good experience of the complete Software delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) as well as an ability to understand and review high/Low level design documents, test environment design preparation, test environment E2E verificationAny experience with Multi-Vendor RAN (Ericsson/Nokia/Huawei) as well as XCAL Tools, Small Cell and Data Management Tools (ALM) would be good to have but not Mandatory for the role.If you believe you have the above skills then get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
