Job Description

Funcitonal Skills tutorFull Time Monday- Friday8am-4pmSouth East LondonVeritas are workign with a post 16 school who have achieved excellent results recently and are looking for a tutor to join their team.This college requrire a Tutor in Functional Skills for both English and Maths, to support pupils who may have additional needs within the classroom.The successful candidate will need QTS and must be able to deliver lessons in Functional Skills Maths and English, across a range of levels of further education and apprenticeship provision, as well as undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorialand programme administration duties.A strong understanding in:

  • Functional skills must be obtained along with a record of professional / vocational experience.
  • Managing work load
  • Meeting your class work deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Proficient IT skills
The successful Tutor must be qualified to English and maths qualifications at level 2, and must have a track record of successful teaching and assessment practice within this.Successful candidates will be expected to go through a registration with Veritas, for safeguarding and vetting purposes to promote the welfare of chidlren and young adolescents.APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR VERITAS EDUCATION
