Job Description

Qualified Social WorkerCommunity DOLs AssessorOur client, a Local Authority based in Somerset is looking for a qualified Social Worker to undertake community DOLsassessments.Fantastic pay rate of £33/hr! (Umbrella)The role is for roughly 4 days (30 hours per week) with a large portion of the role being able to be completed remotely but there may be the occasional requirement to attend meetings and in person visitsThe position is being offered for a minimum of 6 months, preferably 12Responsibilities of the role:

  • Conducting Depravation of Liberty assessments for service users in community settings
  • Make use of your understanding and experience of the Mental Capacity Act, making assessments on this basis and of the varied learning or physical disabilities which can impact this, but also how to effectively communicate with service users who may havedementia, autism, or impaired communication skills etc.
  • Making DOLsassessments, whilst working in tandem with service users existing care teams, various stakeholders, and partner services
Requirements of the role:
  • Social work degree or equivalent qualification
  • SWE Registered
