We are a family run business established in 1926 and are still growing with exciting plans for the future.An opportunity has arisen for a 40 hour per week Van Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team in Alfreton. You will be responsible for driving our Light Commercial Vehicles to deliver Hammonds furniture and also to work within the Regional Services Centre (RSC).Key responsibilities of a Van Driver/Warehouse Operative include:- Daily checks of vehicle and effective reporting- Cleaning and fuelling of assigned vehicle- Delivery of furniture to unmanned lock ups, customers houses, building sites and retail stores- Safe handling of furniture and white goods in line with good Health & Safety manual handling practice- Checking deliveries against paperwork and administration of paperwork- Flexible approachThe successful Van Driver/Warehouse Operative will need to be able to work well under pressure and be able to think on their feet.
